Choosing the Right Shampoo

Beware of sodium laureth sulfate shampoos. This is the foaming agent in most shampoos. This sodium laureth sulfate is very drying to natural hair. So, it cannot be good to chemically treated hair. Look for a shampoo that has sulfate-free on the container. A lot of these sulfate-free shampoos state that it is for color treated hair which lets you know that it is gentle for all types of hair.

The Truth About Hair Brushing

It is perfectly fine to brush hair that is naturally straight or straight from a relaxer or press and curl. Never brush hair that is wet or has a permanent wave(a curl). Last, never brush hair before a chemical service, such as getting a relaxer. This will damage the hair.

Natural hair is exploding! It can be healthier than process hair. But you have to take care of it. The hair needs to be conditioned because natural hair is naturally dry. It needs to be trimmed because it can easily tangle.
